Research on the benefits of therapy dogs indicates that they help students with a variety of physical and mental health issues. Additionally, therapy dogs have been proven to improve social interactions and overall well-being.

While you may still apply for Free/Reduced Lunch after this date, doing so prior to October 1st helps our School Corporation qualify for Title I funding, the USDA's Community Eligibility Program (free lunch for our elementary students), other grant funding, and more. If you believe you are near the income thresholds for Free or Reduced Lunch and have not yet filled out your application, please do so today!
Applying and not receiving the benefit has no negative effect on you or your child. If you do qualify, you will receive either free or reduced lunches for your children. Only one application needs to be completed per household, per year.

Connersville Middle School had an incredible two days of inspiration, self-reflection, and fellowship this week during Challenge Day 2024! A HUGE THANK YOU to our adult volunteers, sponsor Reid Health, and our friends at Challenge Day for an impactful experience. Participants of Challenge Day "experience powerful love and belonging, connect across lines of difference, and move toward creating the culture they want in their school."

Great things are happening at Fayette County!
HUGE Congratulations are in store for two of our current Connersville High School students and one recent graduate for finishing first, second, and third in a NATIONAL (yes, national) contest through Purdue University. The National High School Fishing Lure Design Contest challenged students, using principles of ecosystem interactions and buoyancy, to design and 3D print real fishing lures that imitate the behaviors of aquatic insects.
Congratulations to Mr. Hobson and other CHS staff for providing rich and immersive opportunities for our students as part of our Engineering pathway. And, of course, congratulations to the winners:

Check it out! Job well done to Mr. Revalee and his students for building and donating 7 doghouses to an awesome cause. Our friends from Heroes Wildlife Adventures were present at Connersville High School this morning, furry friends at their side, to take the doghouses to their new home. Heroes Wildlife Adventures is a nonprofit organization that provides unique hunting and fishing opportunities, outdoor recreation, and help purchasing service dogs for our military heroes and first responders.

This is a great time to reflect and remember that we all have a role to play in creating a positive, healthy environment for competition.
