Eastview Chocolate Sales: Great news, we've got all of our boxes out for sale! That means if you've sold a box and requested another, we're out! The sale has already been a great success! If you've got a box and haven't returned your money, just keep selling and bring the money in as soon as you can!
Appreciate support of local law enforcement today during pick up!
Eastview Families: Update regarding the Lock-Out at Eastview on 11.8.22. The police believe that they have been able to identify the unknown individual and believe at this time that the individual did not pose a threat to Eastview Elementary. Dismissal process will proceed as usual.
Fayette County Schools will be dismissing at regular times today. We are working closely with our law enforcement and after an update with the Sheriff, he will be working with local law enforcement to have police presence at each building during dismissal.
Eastview Families: Fayette County Schools are currently on a lockout which means all exterior doors are locked and there are no students outside for recess. We will continue with the lockout as we work with law enforcement. No threat has been made to our buildings. However, law enforcement is in pursuit of a person of interest in our county whose whereabouts are currently unknown.
For Eastview specifically, an unknown person, not connected to the police pursuit, tried to enter the building at the main entrance. Our safety procedures were effective in preventing this person from entering who then immediately left the campus. Police were notified and they are currently looking for this unknown person. We do have video of the person and it has been shared with law enforcement. We will remain on lockout with police on site until further notice. We appreciate the support of our law enforcement in our schools!
Our amazing Social Worker putting 5th Grade student leaders in front of K students teaching about the brain!
Great partnership with the Purdue Extension Nutrition Education Program.
Eastview teachers are always going the extra mile. Regular event seeing teachers voluntarily eat lunch with kids in their classrooms!
Positive Office Referral! Congrats!
Thank you to all the families who participated in the October Family Challenge.
Staff is so excited about Veterans Day Program 11/11. What people don't see is the extra mile teachers go to plan an assembly that our Veterans deserve. No better cause, can't think of anything more important. Going to be a great morning next Friday.
Book Fair is set up. All kids go on either Monday or Tuesday. Then, all kids get to go back a second time on Wednesday or Thursday. Some families choose to have kids "just look" on the first visit and then bring money the second time, just an idea, totally up to you. Parents interested in attending need to reach out to the teacher.
