Eastview Elementary has raised over a $1,000 for World Down syndrome Day (our "Change for Change" Project). The goal was $321.00! The effort began with the Life Skills team and quickly became an entire school family endeavor; I'm so proud that during a difficult economic time for so many our school family has been able to come together and selflessly raise such a substantial amount of money for a great cause. This is something to really be proud of as an entire school - thank you! We will continue to raise money until Friday (and kids, don't forget to wear your crazy socks on Friday to cap off this amazing project!)

K students supporting "Change for Change". Great job!

Let's wear our red & white for a Spartan Pride day on Friday to support the basketball team as they face Sullivan in the IHSAA Regional this weekend at the famed Hatchet House in Washington. There's nothing better than high school basketball in Indiana. Not much to cheer about for my other red & white team....so let's all get behind the Connersville Spartans!

Eastview Families: Reminder that we are raising money for World Downsyndrome Day..."Change for Change"! Ask your teachers if you need more information. Thank you to our Life Skills team for coordinating and for our entire school community for supporting this effort. Principal Kates

World Down Syndrome Day is March 21, 2021. Eastview is going to observe this day on March 19th, 2021. The Life Skills program is going to raise money for our local Down Syndrome Association. We would like to raise $321 between March 5th and March 19th. Along with raising money, we would also ask that each student and staff member wear mismatched or crazy socks to help recognize this day on March 19th. We are calling this fundraiser Change for Change!

Congrats to Josiah Pennington for a Positive Office Referral. Josiah helps a kindergartner make his way from the bus into the building. Simple act, loud message of student leadership. Congrats Josiah!

Eastview March Calendar.
3rd Grade Parents: Please note that IREAD testing will take place during the week of 3/8/21. My own daughter will be taking state tests for the first time this year. My advice? Let kids get outside and be active in the evening, go to bed early, eat a solid breakfast (as you know breakfast provided at Eastview). From there, and I'm sure Mrs. Hufferd and Miss Bennett will add to this....relax and do your best:)
Thank you, Principal Kates
