WeatherRupertIn the book The Way To Rainy Mountain it talks about weather. It talks about how weather operates in chapter eighteen. The storyteller says that weather is very important to the Kiowa tribe, and it’s people. That’s how the storyteller expressed this chapter on weather. The historian points out how the Kiowa tribe honored their weather. The Kiowa tribe also respects their weather, and they have beliefs about why their weather is there. The Kiowa also like weather because they probably know that they have to have it to live their everyday life. Kiowa’s people are brave because they do what they think needs to be done no matter what the weather conditions maybe. That’s how the historian expressed this chapter on weather. Momaday, speaking in his own voice, means that Momaday is guarding the Kiowa, and it’s people from the bad weather. The Kiowa tribe is protected from bad weather from Momaday because Momaday cares for Kiowa tribe. It’s Momaday’s responsibility to look out for the Kiowa tribe, and it’s people. The Kiowa tribe has to also look out for themselves Momaday can’t do all of the work. That’s how Momaday expressed this chapter on weather. The Kiowa tribe really gives great respect, and notice to weather. The people of the Kiowa tribe probably know that they have to have water, which is rain to live. They also know that they have to have the sun to live. They have to have the sun to live because the sun helps the trees grow, which trees give us oxygen to breath. That’s how the Kiowa tribe shows great respect, and importance for their weather. I’m going to be talking about weather. Weather to me is a gift from God. I like when the weather is nice, and the sun is out, and shining on my face. I like when you can do things outside and stay warm, such as tennis, basketball, football, baseball, and sometimes soccer. I like warm weather the most because when its warm the sun is out the most. I love going swimming when the weather is pleasant, and beautiful. I hate when it rains. I despite rain because you are almost always stuck in the house or in school, and there isn’t a thing to do. When it rains it reminds me of depression, and pure boredom. I like when it rains every once in a while, like when I’m asleep. I enjoy snow because you can still go outside. I also enjoy snow because you can do more fun things outside. I enjoy making igloos, and forts, and tunnels, in the snow, in the wintertime. My favorite thing to do in the snow is to have snowball fights. The best time I have in the snow is with my friends, and family. My conclusion for the storyteller says that weather is very important to the Kiowa tribe. Also I say that the storyteller really thinks that the Kiowa tribe knows why they have their weather, and how. I think that the historian really thinks that the people of the Kiowa tribe are really brave people because they will do what needs to be done no matter what the weather conditions may be. Some people in my society will stop what they are doing if it concerns being hurt by the weather. I think Momaday appreciates weather because Momaday knows that you have to have weather to live. |
